A lot has happened in the HubSpot universe this year. HubSpot has focused a lot on optimizing the system in 2022, implementing new features that the community has been longing for. These improvements have made HubSpot even better, smoother, and more efficient to use. In addition, the Operations Hub and Marketplace have been massively expanded to make HubSpot even more compatible with other systems and simplify integrations.
#1 Optimizations for efficient work
Many of the new features have really improved the way we work with HubSpot in 2022. Starting with the fact that you can now data can now be edited in the tabular overview in the objectto the new logging options (LinkedIn, WhatsApp, letter,…). This has led to major efficiency gains.
In addition, since this year you can also import activities such as logged calls or meetings into HubSpot and for the meetings can now also be assigned a physical location and several users of the team can be invited. This has definitely increased usability for us, as it also makes it easier to switch to HubSpot and thus no data is lost or has to be entered manually.
Three things that many of our customers have repeatedly asked for have also been implemented:
- You can rules for fields can be set, e.g. to set a maximum number of characters
- You can now also filter by “Text in notes” to create lists
- The possibility assign several companies to contacts and label the assignments
#2 User rights & settings
Where HubSpot has stepped on the gas quite a bit is with the “Users & Permissions” topics. On the one hand, it is now possible to assign rights at field levelwhich means that you can now decide which fields can be viewed and edited. This is not only relevant for security issues, but also makes work more efficient for teams when they are only confronted with the information they actually need. In addition, you can now also set who can see notes in the timeline of the data record.
On the other hand, you can now also define default settings for certain user groups. This includes the language settings, the default dashboard that is displayed and also the signature for the users. Besides, you can also set default sidebars for certain groups, which helps your teams to have only the necessary information and work accordingly focused.
#3 HubSpot Package Changes
There were three big changes to HubSpot’s packages this year. The first was the introduction of CMS tools, which can also be used in the free version. In addition Playbooks – instructions and guides for the team – have been activated for the Professional package (previously only available in Enterprise). And last but not least marketing automations are now available in the starter packagewhich is really great – especially for those just starting out with HubSpot!
- Some of the features are only available in certain packages or/and hubs.
- An overview of product updates and features that are in beta can be found at your account dropdown (top right), under “Product Updates”.
We are definitely looking forward to the next HubSpot year with many new optimizations and, above all, many satisfied customers!
Until the next update – your Growth Ninjas,
